After two weeks we sat down to discuss some pretty interesting topics. We reviewed the new google video chat and checked out the first ICTL magazine in the Maldives. Also we had a pretty heated discussion about software piracy and cyber terrorism in Maldives. And here is a pretty cool electronic drum kit t-shirt
you can wear around and play some tunes with.
Hosts: Shafiu and Shaff
Music: Slash dot dash – Fatboy Slim
ps: I still got the cold, so pardon all the coughing. – Shafiu

1about http://www.roadha.com the idea is really good, but yea they should run it all year around. o yeah, my name was there as winner till the last second, and the site was down after that(i think they deleted the index file, dont remember much now, but i was able to see their directories), when it came back the winner was someone else. I even suggested them to show a timer on the site. cos we dont really know when the neelan ends. (my watch doesnt show the same time as others watch)
check this out: http://www.neelangovun.com/web/ guess they are gonna run it longer

5About the google video chat thing, it’s not supported in Google Talk which is a total bummer. I prefer and I know lots of people who do prefer Google Talk to voice chat than Skype. The voice is much cleaner and there is less noise compared to Skype. If they bring video chat to Google Talk, which I hope they eventually do, I think it would topple Skype by millions. Skype has a bloated interface and annoying sounds which is a total turn off hehe.
I can’t believe you guys haven’t heard about AdBlock Plus before? Some of the ad’s on some sites hinders my browsing experience by making my browser die an uneventful death most of the time.
I have to agree with Shaff on the security thing. You are responsible for your own safety. If you leave yourself vulnerable to attacks you are asking to be attacked. Mostly popular sites such as Facebook would have done lots of work to make sure they are not vulnerable. Do you think that most Crackers would leave a trail for you to follow and eventually sue them?
Just my heavy two cents. Loved the debate.
@Shafiu Get well soon.

7Guys, great work and I totally support you guys doing it. Also, I’m never going to compare it with any other IT podcasts like SecurityNOW or The Tech Guy podcasts which I listen. But I would like to request Shafiu to limit your ’screw’ word ingey. hehe…
Also think about getting some sponsors(like maybe, Subcorpus V drink hehe)
Anyway, got this podcast in my subscription list and looking forward to hear more.
keep em coming
thanks

8@Yasiph, yeah now I realized I used ’screw’ too much on this episode. Its just that when we are recording the episodes, the conversations are very casual and we do get carried away a bit.
Anyways, next time I will try to remember that. Thanks
